The Village Idiot

Someone once said, ~In this world full of hurt and pain, I need someone who would help me through the rain. To comfort me when I'm sad, doing everything just to make me glad. In this world I need a brave knight, who would never give up any fight.~ Let me ask you this question to all the fair single ladies/maidens/damsels out there, how many of you are patiently waiting for your proverbial knight in shining armor to arrive? For its most definitely a tough question to answer knowing full well there are possibly a number of women who feel as if their happiness has been cursed by Morgana Lefay to be metaphorically forever locked away in a castle tower unable to be freed. Essentially, it can certainly be a frustrating situation indeed for any female to keep hope alive within their heart but know one's curse of utter heartbreak will be broken someday.

As I mentioned before, there are possibly a number of women who feel as if their happiness has been cursed to be metaphorically forever locked away in a castle tower unable to be freed. Thinking about it further, a woman's feelings, thoughts, and emotions concerning the pangs of love/true love can be locked within the castle tower representing their own heart. A truly impenetrable heart has the capability to not only keep anyone from getting in, but not letting anything out as well. It's a sad state of affairs when a fair damsel is in distress personally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally whereby using the unfortunate pain as a force field the likes of Merlin would likely cast for their own protection. However, it takes a brave knight with purely, genuine intentions who can magically break the spell freeing her from the bonds of sorrow for quite some time.

Without a doubt, when it comes to matters of the heart women oftentimes find themselves dealing with or facing the fire breathing dragon known as drama. True, there are many lucky women who are fortunate to have a man who continues to put up a valiant effort in defending them from the scorching attacks of unwanted drama. Unfortunately, for others they're alone in defending themselves to where they've suffered scars from being burned in the past. You see, that behemoth of a monster leaves a path of fiery destruction either by the hands of those who wish to see all that you so want/deserve burn to ashes or by your own. Let me tell you something ladies, it's sometimes better to ignore the flames of negativity to where the scorching words don't affect you whatsoever, allowing you to focus on one day finally removing Excalibur from your heart.

If you think about it, the story of Excalibur and true happiness are synonymous with each other. In Arthurian romance, King Arthur obtained the throne by pulling the sword from a stone. The act could not be performed except by "the true king," meaning the divinely appointing king or true heir of Uther Pendragon. In a sense, every single woman is hoping to meet that special guy who is their true love and is able to rightly pull, in a manner of speaking, the quintessential sword of true happiness from their heart. Of course, many have attempted to try but to no avail and as much as it's disappointing to experience you're not giving up the faith any time soon. What it primarily comes down to is keeping Excalibur in the protective hands of the lady of the lake until a rightful heir presents himself, which in this particular case is God Almighty.

In retrospect, hurt and pain are inevitable in regards to falling/being in love, as well as heartbreak. I think many women would agree that when a heartbreak happens it takes time to heal and recover, so much so they want to disappear into their very own island of Arthurian legend Avalon. While recuperating they know they'll return stronger than ever personally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Hey, it's nice to know that during your time away from the dating scene you have your ladies of the round table by your side supporting you all the way. In the end, I say this to every fair damsel who is single waiting for their knight and shining armor; trust me he'll show up as long you don't keep betraying yourself to the Sir Lancelots of the world otherwise known as the village idiot.
