Have you ever stuck your foot in your mouth and wished you never said what you said?" Every person has done that and each one of us has that inner monologue inside their head which nobody can hear but yourself. Having that argument with yourself inside your own head can sometimes be pure comedy. If life were like a movie or a television show, the viewing audience would supposedly know what one is thinking. Many thoughts can go through a person's head that, if it were possible to hear them, a person would go mad.
As said in the beginning, every person at one time or another has stuck their foot in their mouth and wished he or she never said what they said. Oftentimes, what a person may be saying on the inside can bite one in the butt, so to speak, when it is said on the outside. One's own mouth can overpower his or her brain and that's when the shiznit will start to hit the fan. For the stupidest and craziest things can be said and most of the time it can never be taken back.
Each one of us has been in a situation where one is interested in a particular person. One can have that conversation within themselves as he or she tries to figure out what to say. A person can be cool, calm and collected on the outside as one goes for it, but on the inside it can be like the Titanic about to hit the iceberg and about to sink into the ocean. In some ways, the imaginary captain of one's brain could jump ship at any time and nobody is in charge to stop what is about to be said.
Sometimes a person has to use that proverbial filter in one's brain that completely stops a bad situation from becoming even worse. The proverbial test is in potential and or significant relationships where a person, mainly guys, will do something that will get him into hot water. It's always inevitable that a guy will say something stupid because the captain of our brain has just jumped ship. The best excuse one can give is that we are guys and we are sorry. Unfortunately, it's who we are and you have to live with it.
In retrospect, every person will have so many voices in one's head telling him or her what to do and where to go. In times of that proverbial inner struggle over one's personal and professional life as well, a person has to find that one single voice to guide him or her to the right decision, whatever that may be. For each of us will have that voice that keeps us going and pushes us on to our intended goal(s). In the end, one must listen to that one true voice...your inner voice.
