Everybody at some point in life has asked themselves who they really are. Our teenagers years have been spent asking that particular question as he or she grows up. It's a time of searching and figuring out what type of person one will become in the future. Whether it be a doctor, lawyer, police officer, etc, each of us has the capability of reaching a higher level. A level in which a person has to prove to one's self that he or she is not a quitter. Push themselves to the limits in a manner of speaking.
As we get older, the situations we face on a day to day basis can get tougher and tougher. It's a matter of taking those situations and using them to your advantage. A person has to think somewhat like MacGyver and try to find the best alternatives. Sometimes life can throw you a curve so to speak, which can test one's breaking point. It's a matter of how one deals with that curve that determines how you will be perceived as a person. It can be so easy to wave the preverbial white flag and surrender to life's most overwhelming problems.
One can simply just simply run away, give up and have the title of quitter slapped on your forehead so to speak. It's a solution that a few seem to think is the best way to go, but not for others. He or she has to look in the mirror everyday and see a person that they don't recognize anymore. Sometimes we can lose our identity when one doesn't recognize the person staring back at them in the mirror. Metaphorically speaking, that person's face has dissappeared and is replaced by a face that is totally unrecognizable.
Each of us will face many rough roads ahead as we drive on the road of life. As the saying goes, all roads lead to somewhere one has been before and will be going in the future. Within your travels, one can suffer a little bit of road rage, but that is to be expected. It's the passengers that ride along side you that can help keep you on the straight and narrow in a manner of speaking. In a way, they know you better than you know yourself. The friends that are along for the ride can sometimes see the real you and see the potential to become something better.
In the end, It's all about self-discovery and finding things about yourself that you didn't even know. As the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, simply make lemonade. In other words, when life kicks you to the ground so to speak, simply get back up and kick life right back. In retrospect, life is life running a marathon and once you start running the race, you don't quit till you reach the finish line. Are you a person that is going to quit because life is just too hard or are you a person that is going to finish the marathon knowing you are going to face alot of pain ahead? So who are you?
