I'm Too Sexy

Antonio Porchia once said, ~Without the ridiculous vanity that takes the form of self display, and is part of everything and everyone, we would see nothing, and nothing would exist.~ You have to admit that we as a society can consider ourselves to be a vain, narcissistic people to the point where it can either be viewed as extremely funny or annoying. Hey, it's part of our human nature to think highly of ourselves when we feel and look good, giving the opportunity to strut our stuff down the so-called runway of life for others to see. In some aspect though, each of us can have the proverbial Austin powers mentality in which you can exude a seemingly arrogant yet comical confidence towards themselves to where you have the perception of yourself as one sexy beast.

Let me ask you this question, who tends to look in the mirror more times during one given day to check if they still got it going on in their appearance as a whole, men or women? For it can be a difficult question to answer being that both men and women have the capacity to be equally self absorbed when looking at themselves in the mirror, but if I had to make a choice I would say women. Why? Looking at it from an observational standpoint, women tend to check if their hair, make-up, clothes, jewelry, and/or shoes are working to perfection because the fact of the matter is that they want to always be fully prepared for the event of being checked out by a possibly cute, hot, fine, drop dead gorgeous or whatever adjective women describe guys these days.

As said before, guys can be equally narcissistic as women and yet they can be a bit more full of themselves, especially when it pertains to lifting weights that inevitably enhance the upper, as well as, lower part of the body. If you are the type of person who goes to the gym to work out, you'll probably always see those guys not only lifting weights in front of the mirror, but also flexing in front of it was well.You can most definitely be impressed by their hard work and dedication, but too much lifting can cause physical harm, especially if drugs are used such steroids. In any case, it would be safe to say that there are women out there who unfortunately dated these kinds of guys and it may not have worked out because he was more into himself than into the relationship.

For the question can be asked, have you ever in your life referred to yourself or met someone who has referred to himself/herself in the third person? Without a doubt, its a weird, strange, and an absolute unbelievable situation, deeming it what I like to refer to as a wtf moment because you find yourself in the presence of a person who has by far the biggest ego on the entire planet, so to speak. You can never really take a person who calls themselves by their own name such as The Todd seriously unless he is a character in one of the funniest television shows ever Scrubs or a once professional WWE wrestler now turned actor The Rock. Let me tell you something ladies, if you even meet a guy who does simply smile, start backing up, turn around, and immediately run the other way.

Blaise Pascal once said ~Vanity is so secure in the heart of man that everyone wants to be admired: even I who write this, and you who read this.~ In retrospect, nobody is really immune to being a vain, narcissistic person who only thinks about one's self or as I like to call it being Paris Hilton. You see, it takes just one thing or situation to have you go from a humble person to someone you just want to slap upside the head. Hey, we all need an ego boost every now and then, but too much of it can have you not being able to stick your head in the door to enter or leave a room because it's so big, so to speak. In the end, when it comes to being a vain, narcissistic person one tends to think or say these three familiar words out loud...I'm too sexy. It's a song by 80's British Pop group Right Said Fred.
