My Better Half

Someone once said, ~Today I begin to understand what love must be, if it exists. When we are parted, we each feel the lack of the other half of ourselves. We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost. That is what I imagine love to be: incompleteness in absence.~ Let me ask you this question, when it comes to love or true love for that matter have you finally met/found the other half of your heart who, in a sense, is the proverbial ying to your yang when it pertains to completing whole what each of us have been wanting and/or needing in our own lives. For that special someone truly compliments in certain ways that you absolutely thank God for bringing him or her into your life.

Without a doubt, there are times in life where it can just get serious to the point where each of us becomes that way too serious person who inevitably needs to have that stick removed from up one's buttockal region in order to lighten up. Every person has been in a situation where one has encountered a certain amount of tension being built up either around or to you that people can literally cut it with a knife because of how thick it is. In any case, each of us want/need that someone who is considered to be our very own stand up comedian who make you laugh when you need it the most, which can sometimes be done without even trying by doing or saying something fairly stupid that it not only a puts a smile on your face, but it also relaxes you as well.

Essentially, when it comes to life and love you want/need someone who can be your teacher and yet at the same time be the student as well. In other words, that person is the one who can make you intellectually stronger as he or she shares with you one's thoughts and philosophies all-the-while being taught from you what you have learned in life, as well as, in love. Its a tough situation indeed to meet that special someone who can keep your brain constantly stimulated with not just the useful information that can make you think, but also with the useless somewhat stupid information that tends to get stuck in our brain on a semi-daily basis, which basically balances out the smart to dumb ratio in the whole scheme of things.

For the question can be asked of you, do you have a great motivator in your life who doesn't let you play hooky when there is some much needed work to be done? It would probably be safe to say that we all have a lazy, procrastinating, slacker side to us that can prevent us from accomplishing what we need to do. Oftentimes, a person wants/needs that someone who can kick you in the buttockal region to motivate you like how a drill instructor would, but done in a hopefully more loving way of course. If you think about it, when you have someone in your life that doesn't let you quit no matter how hard it is and is with you every step of the way to reach your greatest potential then you know you're truly a blessed person.

In retrospect, every person has or hopes to have that person in one's life who they can honestly say is their best friend forever. It’s one's bff that they can turn to when life just gets frustrating that being given a simple smile you know everything is alright and with some encouraging words gets you back in the game of life, in a manner of speaking, when you have thoughts of throwing in the towel. Ultimately, it's a dream come true to have him or her standing by your side that you just have to pinch yourself to know that you're not dreaming. In the end, when you look at the special someone in your life you either say to yourself or to that person you're holding in your arms you're most definitely my better half, which is a song by the successful Australian country music singer Keith Urban.
