Frederick Lenz once said, ~Life is learning to deal with traffic. It requires patience, a good sense of timing, and sometimes not giving in to the traffic but reshaping your life.~ If you think about it, life can at times be compared to a traffic jam as there are moments were each one of us will/have encountered delays on our own individual road that will most definitely test our patience, emotions, and not to mention attitude as we circumnavigate our way to where we want to be. For it can certainly be a frustrating and annoyingly irritating situation indeed when you find yourself stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, in a manner of speaking, as it pertains to one’s mental, emotional, physical, and even spiritual journey we’re individually driving on to the point where you end up possibly experiencing moments of road rage.
Without a doubt, when you’re stuck in a traffic jam your patience is truly tested because quite frankly you don’t actually plan on being delayed from ones intended location. Thinking about it further, that’s how life is sometimes as we try our best to plan ahead of time for any kind of delays from hindering us from achieving/conquering personal and/or professional goals/issues. True, planning out alternative routes in regards to our own road of life will potentially get you there whereby alleviating any headaches whatsoever; but at the same time will take considerably longer to get to the intended destination point if you don’t consider yourself a patient person. However, no matter how impatient you are its life’s delays that are in fact a determining factor in getting to where you want to be absolutely worthwhile.
Habakkuk 2:3 says, ~For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it, it will surely come; it will not delay.~ As I said before, no matter how impatient you are, life's delays are in fact a determining factor in getting to where you want to be absolutely worthwhile. In other words, it’s all about timing and when you put your trust in God’s timing it is always perfect. In any case, when you experience being stuck in a traffic jam you want things to speed up and move faster instead of slower to accommodate what you want/need. Unfortunately, God doesn't work that way as His timing gives each of us the opportunity to accept/realize there is an inner standstill going inside, so to speak, leading you to help yourself spiritually move forward by doing 2 things: pray and read His word.
Let me ask you this question, have there been days in your life where you’ve encountered delays on your own individual road so much so that your emotions have gotten the better of you. I think it’s safe to say we’ve all had a road rage type situation where life gradually pushed your buttons mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Oftentimes, problems in a potential/significant relationship, work, friendship, family, etc. can get on our nerves to where it builds up into something so overwhelming it has the propensity to reshape our whole view of the people in front of, behind, and/or around beside us. What it primarily comes down to is keeping our emotions in check as best as one can all-the-while fighting the urge to either cause vehicle destruction, blast your horn, throw hand gestures and/or express any colorful expletives at life itself.
"Gowtham K said, ~Life is like a traffic jam. Everyone has their own destination to reach. So better choose your own instead of following others.~ In retrospect, never compare the inner traffic jam of turmoil that you're going through and jamming you inside with someone else's because even though it may be the same they're possibly experiencing it at a totally different speed than yours. Sadly, there are those out there who are constantly weaving in and out of the traffic jam created within themselves only to find that he/she ended up stuck in the same position because of one's own stubbornness. In the end, when you go through times of gridlock within your thoughts, feelings and/or emotions you're forever stuck in every sense of the word so the simple solution is that you patiently sit, wait, and ultimately go with God's flow.
