In The Money

Groucho Marx once said, ~Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy.~ There are two basic truths that we all can agree on when it involves money and they are we either don't have any or we don't have enough. Which category are you under? Without a doubt, money can be considered a driving force for anyone who wants to be financially secure in life and not have to worry about getting their bills paid. Every person has dreamed of striking it filthy rich whether it be by playing the lottery, entering your name into the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes, or whatever the case may be. Yet, the question remains though, would you change as a person or would you stay the same person you've always been?

Thinking about it, when you attain instant wealth one's attitude can gradually change to a point where you can be perceived as an arrogant, demanding, self absorbed S.O.B. For it would most definitely be difficult to be with or around someone who has that proverbial chip on their shoulder because they now have the means to buy whatever your heart desires no matter what the cost is, which in some cases can be considered a catch 22. However, it really depends on the person and the type of personality exuded that would determine if you're either going to be annoying by the way you're waving the money around in people's faces, so to speak, or keeping it generally on the down low because you don't want to have people coming out of the woodwork asking for money they may not be deserving of.

Oftentimes, it's not just your attitude that can change as you find yourself loaded with cash not just in your wallet, but also in your bank account as well. For its in your appearance when it pertains to your outward appearance by changing your sense of style from wearing cheap generic name brand clothing to expensive well-known name brands. As said before, changing your physical features is what people do these days as they want to get something enhanced/reduced by doing procedures such as breast implants, which women mainly do for themselves to raise their level of confidence. Hey, it would be safe to say that we all want to look good and when you have the financial means to make it happen you take it, but don't go completely overboard to where you're totally unrecognizable.

Let me ask you this question, when you now instantly become a millionaire would you immediately quit your job and retire early from ever working the 9 to 5 daily grind? I would venture to guess that each and every one of you said yes because in your own view living a relaxed, stress free fun life of doing nothing but living off the money you earned is so much more appealing than living a life that causes hypertension, high blood pressure, cardiac arrest, migraines stroke, heart attack, etc. Let me tell you something, I honestly wouldn't want to quit working because quite frankly I would go nuts if I didn't have anything to keep me busy and even though I'm all about the benjamins I don't want to lose that drive to succeed in the working world.

Timothy, 6:10 says, ~For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.~ In retrospect, whether it's for the good or for the bad, money has the ability to change a person if given the right incentive. For some people, money is something to be seen as a way to buy materialist things that tend to not satisfy their carnal desires once they have it in their possession while other people see money as something that they are grateful to God every single day to have as it has put food on the table, clothes on your back, and helped you drive a sensible car from point A to point B. In the end, when you're in the money know that God provided it for you and also know he can just easily take it away from you too.
