12 stars shown luminating the night sky as each were tested on how bright they really shined. Each star unique in their very own way.
From the beginning, their futures were in the hands of 3 supernovas that ultimately decided if they fade into existance or move on and shine even brighter.
One by one they faded into existance, only to shine in other ways. Yet one star faded quickly, another exploded out of existence and a troubled star still shined bright.
Each night the 3 titans of the night sky look for a hint of a possible flicker. Will they or won't they fade the next night.
The night sky filled with 12 stars now dwindled down to 3. It was apparent the skies are getting clearer. One's star's future will ultimately be mapped out.
A velvet colored star, a potential star in the making, and a very classy star are all that remain. Millions decide which of the three burn and unfortunatley that classy star faded.
Now two stars totally opposite in the spectrum remain. Whose star is brighter, whose star will luminate the skys above America? Does it really matter? In the end, we shall point up to the sky and name the two brightest stars that captured America's hearts and those two stars are named......

2 Idols
Ruben Studdard
205 is where this man hails from. His smile defined him from the very beginning. Grinning for ear to ear he lit up a room. The velvet Teddy Bear is his monicre.
Though big in size he made up for it in heart. He brought soul back into the music stream. Love him or hate him, he had a magnetic personality. Cool as ice he said little, but he made up for it in song.
It was impossible not to hug this big bear of a man. Consistency was the key in every performance he did. Though many believe he was just all hype, others believed just the opposite and cheered him on.
The man from Birmingham Alabama. Smiling from ear to ear till the end. He represented his city to the fullest. He is America's Idol.....FO SHO!
Clay Aiken
True talent over image true to form it was. From first glance we were all befuttled. Though looks can be deceiving, he brought his game. America through threw him back into the "fish bowl" so to speak.
Hope was then renewed as he was given a lifeline. America would soon learn what they would have they truley missed out on. The voice of a God, but the body of Martin Short.
Each week we were in awe with his dulcic tones. Lionol Richie said it best, "All that coming from that body!" He amazed guest judges and made the ladies swoon. Yet it was his humble attitude that we loved the most.
The man from Raleigh, North Carolina. His passion for singing touched us all each week he performed. His passion for helping special kids touched us even more. True talent over image, America's true Idol.
