Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, ~We do not have to visit the madhouse to find disordered minds; our planet is the mental institution of the universe.~ Without a doubt, one could very well consider Qtip and Blondie In The Morning radio show not only a madhouse, but a mental institution of Alice In Wonderland type proportions. Thinking about it, the radio personalities of the Gulf Coast's hit music station 97.5 WABD are definite comparisons to certain characters one of which is most definitely The Mad Hatter. You see, when it comes to this particular character his cup of tea, so to speak, is making people not only laugh with his own sense of web based insanity, but leaves you wondering what's in store next for a guy who certainly has a method to his madness.
As I said before, there is certainly a method to his madness because quite frankly you never know what he's going to pull out of his hat, in a manner of speaking. Of course, you can't help but be entertained with amusement by his antics when it involves talking/dressing up like a pirate, dressed up dancing like a Mayan in absolute cold weather, dancing in oversize pajama pants, joining in on the fad of pouring milk over himself, and not to mention running for President leading him to debate over the radio listeners in the Gulf Coast. What it primarily comes down to is the sheer commitment/passion he delivers to the characters he brings life to so much so he doesn't break it whatsoever, which shows tremendous amounts of dedication to his craft.
If you think about it, laughter isn't always the case for someone who causes people to wonder if he's completely lost his mind or possibly already has. In any case, he does indeed have a serious side when it pertains to helping the teenage population with relatable problems/situations involving dating/relationships. Thinkteen.org is an organization in which the graduates of the University of Alabama....Roll Tide...takes part in asking teens what advice they would give for a particular guy/girl pertaining to relationships. True, it's an excellent organization to be associated with and you're able to make a difference in some way. Hey, you have to give a tip of the hat to someone who even though is certifiably insane, he helps assist/brings attention to a helpful cause.
Let me ask you this question to those who have met in person or personally know the man I dubbed the Mad Hatter, do you think he has the potential to go even farther taking the insanity level far beyond where it's capable of going? In other words, will he be able to top himself when it involves the memorable antics and will it live up to the expectations we the listeners have grown to enjoy? Truth be told, I think he does and I, along with the listeners of WABD think or should I say wholeheartedly believe so too. Let me tell you something ladies and gentlemen, he wasn't given the 2012's promotions tech award for nothing and hopefully he'll continue to receive more awards in the coming future.
In retrospect, the enigma that is Nicholas Walter Fox is both insane and a genius. Granted, he plays off his fellow Wonderland characters The March Hare(Qtip), The Cheshire Cat(Blondie), The White Rabbit (Intern Alyssa), The Caterpillar(Producer Heather) *see Wiki Adventures In Wonderland* and the radio listeners all around the Gulf Coast. I think it's safe to say the best is yet to come for Nick and many of us who are listening on the radio, watching/subscribed to his YouTube channel, or hanging out on location within the Gulf Coast know he's saving the ultimate antic for last. In the end, you know you're in for a treat when Nick Fox is live on the radio in a studio or somewhere in the Gulf Coast in costume because it's insanity at its best.
