Joseph G. Holland once said, ~The most precious possession that ever comes to a man in this world is a woman's heart.~ Without a doubt, a woman giving her heart freely to a man is considered something truly special as she trusts him to treat it as if it were, in some aspect, an absolute treasure. A treasure in which there isn't a cash value attached to it because no amount of money can ever equal something so priceless within a woman's heart. Thinking about it, it's within the so-called treasure chest that is her heart there lies vast amounts of wealth that are highly valuable and it's not the type of wealth you spend or put in a vault. For the wealth I'm speaking of consists of trust, communication, love, intimacy, security, tolerance, forgiveness, tenderness, compassion, patience, caring, understanding, respect, and so much more.
Let me ask you this question ladies, when it comes to a bad past relationship or relationships for that matter how many of you believe the treasure within your heart has lost its luster/sparkle because of the way a particular guy treated the considerably valuable contents inside? Its a sad situation indeed when a guy is fortunate enough or should I say lucky enough to hold in his hands the heart of a woman and yet makes the mistake of tarnishing it for one's own personal gain. You see, the times a woman's heart is broken brings her to a point where it's essentially hard to establish the issue of trust, which can quite possibly lead or had already led to the loss of the bright, shiney glow exuded from the heart leading it to be replaced by the unfortunate dark smudges of bitterness, as well as, scratch marks of anger/utter contempt.
If you think about it, the untold riches that are in a woman's heart and are placed in a particular guy's hands by her he can be at times be greedy to where he doesn't share the most amazing person he has in his life with others. Why? Looking at it from a guy's perspective, its that innate desire to not only to keep what is now his all to himself, but also spend time simply being in awe of what he has in his possession. That innate desire can become a complete obsession leading the guy to turn into a jealous, paranoid, fearful, schizophrenic individual somewhat like the character Smeagol from the movie Lord of the Rings who referred to what he desired as his precious. What I'm trying to say is when it comes to the precious that is a woman's heart its not something you possess for yourself, but rather cherish and nurture so others may experience the wealth inside as well.
As I've said before in a previous Yodaism, security is one of the many things women are looking for from a guy as she wants that assurance from him that her heart is always going to be well protected. I think many women would agree it's hard to open their heart after experiencing times of frustration, disappointment, heartbreak, confusion, etc. to where they guard their heart and put a protective wall in order to not have a crown jewel such as respect be taken away from them by a guy who somehow slipped past their internal security sensors. Whether it's happened once, twice, or many times over, a woman just has to learn from those past experiences all-the-while not letting herself become too vulnerable giving another possible thief, in a manner of speaking, the opportunity to take the one thing that above all else hopefully continues to remain secure...her dignity.
Lamar Cole once said, ~Being rich in love can be more lasting and fulfilling than being rich in material possessions.~ In retrospect, a man is truly rich when a woman gives her heart to him giving him a better reason to live. However, a man can in all intents and purposes go bankrupt if he doesn't properly invest his time to make a woman feel happy and loved instead of feeling as if all her assets in her heart are absolutely worthless. A woman's heart can be absolutely fragile like glass and depending how a guy deals with certain relationship situations can very well either lead to having it easily shatter into a million pieces in his hands leading him to let slip through his fingers all the valuable contents within. In the end, when it comes to love a man has to handle with care matters of the heart with patience and deep understanding or he'll end up losing it all.
