You and Me

Someone once said, ~We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive. Where every sense is heighted, every emotion is magnified, our everyday reality is shattered and we are flying high into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon. But that doesn't diminish its value. Because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives.~ Nothing is ever really the same after the first time really falls in love because the memories that you take with you with that particular person helps you gain somewhat of a perspective as to who your heart began with years ago and to who you finally now share your heart with for a lifetime.

We've all have had people catch us at a moment where a smile, a laugh, or a tear was witnessed and oftentimes its due to either a past or current memory shared with someone special. Its within that moment of vulnerability, people see how truly of an affect that person had or has on you. Let me give you this particular challenge which is to think of someone that gave you great memories in a past or current relationship and try no to smile. I'll give you time to think...so, how did you do on the challenge? Did it answer any questions that you have been wondering about or did it give you more questions to ask, which is without a doubt what love can undeniably give to every person.

For the most part, the memories that are captured in photos can essentially tell a timeless story that can absolutely touch the human heart. Take a look at your parents/grandparents photo albums and within each picture countless stories can be told behind them. For its when they reflect back, you can see and feel the love they have for each other. Its a loving bond that you don't see too often due to marriages lasting only a couple years rather than a marriage that has lasted 30 plus years. It can be truly a touching situation for any person to lose their best friend and all he or she has left of that person are the memories, either photos or keepsakes, that in some ways keeps him or her alive in one's heart.

Let me ask you this question, when it comes to a past or current love, do you keep close to your heart the memories that you cherish for all time or do you keep the memories that metaphorically leave scars that either stay on the surface or run very deep into the core of your heart? For some people keeping the cherished memories shows that you have a caring heart and a part of you still loves and/or cares for that person. Yet, for others he or she would rather keep the unwanted memories close to one's heart because it shows that past hurts were real; but the strength it gives helps you to continue on the path of life. A path that will lead you to eventual true happiness or sadness where more scars will suffered.

In retrospect, when it comes to love, the memories that a person can attain can either be satisfying or absolutely disappointing. For it really depends on the person who he or she spends time with and if the memories that were shared are worth reliving over and over in one's own mind. Whether or not you find that one person or that one person finds you, the memories that are or will be shared with him or her will be a great story to tell one's own grandkids someday. Ultimately, every person want to say to that someone special I want you and me to make a lifetime of memories together and a perfect song that reflects this thought is Keith Urban's Making Memories Of Us.
