Someone once said, ~People seem to get nostalgic about a lot of things they weren't so crazy about the first time around.~ If you think about it, we as a society seemingly have our finger on the pulse of pop culture as it may possibly be the start of an exciting and sometimes unusual phenomenon that continues to have a so called heartbeat, so to speak after a certain number of years. However, there can't be excitement without the unwavering support of the fans who at one time started out small, but eventually grew into huge numbers all around the world. You see, its the fans who never let their love for what makes them happy on the inside completely fade away into obscurity. Let me ask you this question, was it something you weren't crazy about, but now you can't get enough of it?
Without a doubt, the fast food industry is all about creating something new in order to find what appeals to our proverbial taste buds, making us hooked on that particular food item till the day we day. A creation such as Mickey D's McRib wasn't really a so called hit at first because of how much sauce was slathered on it causing you to go through a handful of napkins from the mess it can make to the point where you find yourself literally in a sticky situation. Yet, despite that fact, there has been a growing support of that particular tasty food item from guys like myself who look forward to the day when Mickey D's brings it back to the menu. Hey, if ladies can get excited about a new shoe being advertised, then why can't us guys get excited about a certain sandwich coming back?
Oftentimes, there are certain dance songs that when it immediately comes on the radio or blasted in the clubs you can't help but cry due to how truly annoying it is. Personally speaking, there are certain dance songs that I can't stand like The Macarena by Los Del Rio and Billy Ray Cyrus' Achy Breaky Heart. Unfortunately, as I get older it's dance songs such as The Chicken Dance, The Electric Slide, and the Cha Cha Slide that I eventually grew to enjoy even though I didn't like them the first time around because of how not only corny they sounds, but when you see people dancing to the song it becomes doubly corny. Let me tell you something, you may see me get into the beat of those three above mentioned songs, but dancing to them is something you won't ever rarely see me do.
Let me ask you this question, what is considered to be your favorite reality based show now that you didn't get into it in the beginning because of how new it was. Survivor, Beauty and the Geek, Dancing With The Stars, The Bachelor, Deal or No Deal, Celebrity Duets, Flavor of Love, I Love New York, So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol, etc. are just some of the shows that many people didn't quite watch in the first season. Now, several seasons later they're smash hits as people all around the world tune in every week to watch their favorite reality stars/celebrities either compete in the survival of the fitties, to be more than just a beauty/geek, winning money, shaking their booties on the dance floor, finding love, and finding the next big singing star.
In retrospect, being nostalgic about certain things in life can sometimes have a time limit, in a manner of speaking, as the excitement slowly fades due to disinterest. For example, a show such as an American Idol is still the #1 on Fox and watched by millions of people all around the world, but the talent on the show this past season has lacked the umph causing possible disinterest in watching season 7. For the question can be asked, will season 7 be the last for American Idol causing the nostalgia within all of us to die out? Who knows, it's just a matter of watching next year to see, as well as, hear better talented singers. In the end, whether it's a fast food sandwich, a certain dance song, and/or a reality based tv show coming back we all tend to say the same thing on the inside or out loud.....oh happy day!

Make The Grade
Someone once said, ~You learn to like someone when you find out what makes them laugh, but you can never truly love someone until you find out what make them cry.~ Thinking about it, there is so much information to take in when it pertains to getting a deep understanding of women, especially when it comes to matters of the heart that focus on more of the emotional side. For its a continuous learning process and as a guy we learn by trial and error whereby hopefully gaining the knowledge to be better educated, in a manner of speaking. Essentially, being able to learn more of what makes a woman cry instead of what makes a woman laugh reveals how much a guy want to pass rather than fail within the so called grade book of her heart.
Without a doubt, its hard enough as it is to understand women mentally, but when you try to understand them emotionally you can feel like you're always going to be sitting in a corner wearing a dunce camp on your head. Why? You see, there are any number of reasons of what woman cry about such as dealing with her own insecurities in regards to her self-esteem concerning the issue of weight or beauty and the fears she has of not being truly loved by someone special or letting herself fully open up to a guy who is genuinely real. That is just a tip of the iceberg and being a guy we're always going to be unprepared to handle a woman in tears because we honestly have no idea what the problem is going to be leaving us guessing at the answer, which we can get wrong 99.9% of the time.
Oftentimes, what makes a women cry is absolutely nothing because are times where she wants to just do it in order to feel better, which totally makes no sense whatsoever from a guy's perspective. Guys are generally confused enough as it is to the seemingly relevent reasons women cry, but when they cry about nothing it completely confuses us even more. In a sense, its like studying works in an english literature book and the more you try to interpret out loud in class what you've been reading you find yourself making no sense causing your mind to go totally blank. Let me tell you something, that is how we feel at times when encountering a crying woman as we simply sit quietly next to her to keep her company and not talk because if we do we'll just make matters worse for ourselves.
Let me ask you this question ladies, has your man ever earned the proverbial extra credit points within your heart by giving you something that it not only has the potential to make you cry, but it also touches your heart in way that it has sentimental value? Every woman has in their possession something that means so much that it was given to her in the past by their significant other and she continues to cherich with all her heart even if that particular something may seem insignificant at the time to the guy who have it to her. For example, a simple ordinary card may not be considered powerful that it brings a woman to tears, but is the deep, meaningful words written from the heart within the card that can most definitely leave her with the inability to form words because she was all choked up.
In retrospect, when it comes to knowing a women emotionally guys will find out that no matter how much they think they know, there's a lot more to learn. It would be so much easier for guys if simple clift notes were published to easily understand what women are going through emotionally so we know what to say and do, but that would be cheating. A guy just have to keep doing the research, continue asking questions, and no matter how frustating it can become its all worth it because he took the time to get to know her on a more personal level. In the end, every woman wants someone who can meet her requirements when it comes to being emotionally understood and if she meets that particular guy she will inevitably think to herself can he make the grade?

Through The Rain
Lamar Cole once said, ~Love is the umbrella of the heart~ In some aspect, love is like an umbrella in which it is able to or at least tries to shield your heart from suffering pain and heartache that can most definitely rain down on it hard like a bad storm, so to speak. If you think about it, when it rains we try our very best to protect ourselves from getting any part of our body and/or clothing from getting wet by using an umbrella and, in a sense, each of us want that same protection when it concerns our own heart. However, you can never really be fully protected from being soaked because when it comes to matters of the heart there will be times where you'll unfortunately experience a seemingly non-stop torrential rainfall leaving you soaking wet within your heart and soul, in a manner of speaking.
Let me ask you this question, how many of you had your umbrella stolen and you ended up having to either run or walk in it to get to your intended destination, which is not a fun experience? Here's another question, how did it make you feel when it happened? I would safely guess quite a few of us, myself included, have had that happen and you can feel such emotions such as shock, disappointment, as well as anger. Why? For it personally belonged to you and it was something important that helped keep you dry. In a sense, it's those same emotions and many others that can be felt as love is taken away from you by someone who decided to no longer protect your heart from feeling the uncomfortable shower of sadness beating down on it, leaving you absolutely vulnerable.
Without a doubt, you feel absolute vulnerability when you find yourself without an umbrella when it rains. You see, one of the many things that is greatly affected are the clothes you wear because once they get wet it gradually starts to become heavier making it difficult for you to move around. Thinking about it, one's own heart can gradually become heavier as it metaphorically soaks in the emotional pain of being hurt to the point where it weighs you down both in a figurative and literal sense causing you not to want to do anything or talk to anyone. Let me tell you something, every person at some point in time has been in that type of situation and all you ever want to do is just let yourself wallow in the so-called dark, dirty puddle of your own emotions.
For the question can be asked, do you have someone in your life who's loving heart is always open to share with you all-the-while covering your own heart from possibly suffering pain and heartache that tends to rain down on a relationship? A woman, more than anything, wants a guy who is not only able to open himself up, but she can also count on him to never leave her standing alone in the rain holding a broken umbrella filled with holes in her hands. Essentially, when it comes to love or true love for that matter you don't want someone with a broken umbrella filled with holes because it represents not being fully dependable when it pertains to putting your entire trust in someone who you want to be there to protect you when you truly need it the most.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said, ~Into each life some rain must fall, some days be dark and dreary.~ In retrospect, relationships can weather any kind of rainstorm depending on how strong and durable the umbrella is between two people. You have to remember in order to have sunny days ahead in a potential and/or significant relationship you oftentimes have to endure some dark, dreary days where rocky, stormy times will be experienced. Sometimes you or that person will have to make the proverbial self-sacrifice and let yourself get soaking wet in the rain to prove how much you want to be in the relationship. In the end, if you can have a relationship with someone without suffering any permanent breaks or holes in the umbrella of love you share with him/her then both of you can make it through the rain.
