For the most part, I'm usually one step ahead of possible topics for a potential yodaism that may or may not be in the works. It really depends on the subject matter at hand and whether or not it can keep me interested to tackle it head on. Believe me there have been times where I've been in the middle of a possible yodaism and just completely scrapped it due to lack of inspiration or it didn't make any sense at all. Oftentimes the inspiration can come in an instant and other times it doesn't come for days, but the question can be asked what/who keeps me motivated/inspired to keep doing what I do. In a sense, it has been fun in an intellectual sense in opening my mind, as well as yours, which I do apologize for ahead of time.
One of the sources of inspiration is experiencing life as it happens and each one of us have a front row seat to it. In some aspect, we all go through the same crap on a semi-daily basis, though the situation may be different, it's crap nonetheless. Such crap that I'm referring to are relationship problems with either your family and your potential or significant other, your job, money, whatever the case may be. You are not alone in this department because life does sometimes stink and it can make your day, in a way, to know that other people are going through what you are going through as well. It's a unifying commonality that bonds every human being on the planet and it never seems to end for some of us.
Believe it or not, all things entertainment such as music, movies and/or television can give that much needed inspiration to get me motivated to write something that can either tickle the funny bone, make you think, or make you shed a tear or two. It's really an unknown what effect it will have until someone emails me telling me he or she really needed to read that due to something one was going through at that particular time. Initially, all it takes is simple words, lines, or quotes and the proverbial gears in my ole noggin start to turn. Let me ask you this question, what song, movie, or television show is your absolute favorite and do you have a particular line or quote that sticks with you, which keeps you, as a fan, listening for more.
Without a doubt, my job is considered to be one of the best sources of inspiration due to the fact you can always count on kids to give you great material. As I said before, I'm usually one step ahead of possible topics and what I will probably be working on after this, unless another topic peaks my interest, is one that is entitled "Just Bring It." It's primarily about seeing and experiencing the violent tendencies kids have, which can be humorous at times depending on the particular child. Anyways, it's those bundles of joy(said with a sarcastic tone) that makes my job interesting each day because quite frankly you never know what "my kids" will say or do when working in the insane asylum where madness runs 24/7.
In retrospect, I never really know if this will be the last Yodaism or not but what keeps me motivated are the responses I get every now and then which I really appreciate. Hopefully you've enjoyed the misspelled and oftentimes confusing rantings of a guy that really needs to have his head examined after working with kids for 9 years now. In any case, I've often wondered if you guys are thinking if I should quit sending them to you OR what possible topic have I come with this time and will you like it? In some aspect, every Yodaism is somewhat like a cliffhanger in which you basically ask yourself will there be another one coming? In the end, its when you read the last words of every Yodaism there are three additional words that you never actually see and read which are...To Be Continued.

Queen Of My Heart
Someone once said, ~Love is respect, love is admiration. Love is all the world can give you, and love is dedication. Love is the funny feeling in your stomach, the shaking of the knees, the sweaty palms, the dry mouth, and the sense of ease. Love never withers.~ Let me ask you this question, with that previous statement said, can love bring you back to that person if you either break up or divorce him or her? It's that proverbial big question mark which you can never really answer due to who that particular person may be and whether or not you can see yourself still being friends with him or her. For it has been said that every road unknowingly takes you back to something or someone that you love and/or care about.
Without question, one tends to know or recognize the feeling of a potential break up or divorce that can have two people mutually going their separate ways and not have bitter feelings towards each other. It's that mutual love, respect, and admiration for each other to move on with life, be happy, and not worry how each other is feeling emotionally. Though it can be hard to do for the first couple of weeks or months due to the fact it's basically a transitional phase in one's own life. A transitional phase where a person has to start back at square one with his or her own heart, which can be a very easy thing to do or a very painful thing to do depending on the person.
Yet, before it ever comes to fruition both people spend the last remaining moments with each other looking back at the good times rather than the bad and it usually happens at a particular spot that meant so much to you and that person. It's while you look back you both smile, laugh, as well as, cry a little or a lot and share one last long embrace. An embrace, which represents a finality of a relationship that is about to end when or if one lets go. It can be an absolutely difficult thing to do letting go of someone that you love and care about knowing that you may never be in each other's company ever again. However, you and that person don't want to think about it and by simply closing your eyes the moment you both share is, in some way, captured in time.
Essentially there is an understanding that both have to test out the proverbial relationship waters to find out if he or she is truly the one for you to spend the rest of your days with. For the most part, you know you feel absolutely safe in his or her arms and when you hold that person's hand you somehow know it feels right. For it is as if he or she is leading you in the right direction, but in the back of your minds, you both primarily ask yourselves is it in the right direction. Initially, it's at that point you both take that relationship detour and see what life is like apart from each other. It's within that trial separation that may last weeks, months, or even years that two separate paths will cross again and a decision will be made.
In retrospect, whether it's better off apart or better off together is a decision best left for the only two people that know for sure. For if it's better to be apart he or she will never be gone because all a person simply has to do is close your eyes and look into your heart. If it's better to be together then it's both people's obligation to keep the relationship strong and make each other happy as best they can. To some certain extent, love is somewhat like being part of royalty without all the scandals and paparazzi. A girl will consider that one guy her Prince Charming who permanently puts the slipper back on her foot. As for a guy, he will say to himself as his heart metaphorically bows down to her, that she will forever be the queen of my heart. A song that best reflects this thought is by Westlife entitled Queen Of My Heart.

Who I Am
Last Saturday, I watched the new Batman Begins movie and it got me thinking, which I don't necessarily like to do when I'm watching a movie, but hey what can you do. Anyways, in some ways, each of us can be compared to the fictional character Bruce Wayne and his menacing alter ego the caped crusader Batman. Whether or not you are a comic book fan, watched the old school television show, and/or seen all trilogies you know, next to Superman, he is considered an icon. An icon that we've all grown up with and probably, if you are a little boy, dressed up in a costume for Halloween. Essentially, he's two sides of a very complex individual character and if you think about it, we can see a bit of ourselves in him.
In a sense, even though we all aren't rich or fight crime, each of us have two sides to us that people either see or you don't want them to see. It's that proverbial mask that one puts on in order to hide something such as anger and pain, whether it's physical or emotional. For some people can mask it through humor, smiling, or simple sarcasm and initially nobody would know something is wrong. In some aspect, people have seen or felt a small portion of what one tries to keep hidden from people; but inevitably he, she, or they will eventually find out. It's at that point where a person will learn if the people that have stuck by you will continue to stick by you no matter what.
In any case, we all have a Bruce Wayne side to ourselves that represents the sociable aspect of our life. It's that need or want for companionship, whether it's a person or friendly interaction, we all crave to be around people because we don't want to feel left out of the so-called party of life. It's within that party of life that one mingles with people to where we find potential friends and possibly that someone special who you either do or don't hit off immediately with. For its basically the confidence we oftentimes exude that attracts people in our direction, which can either work for us or against us depending on the level of confidence. Let me ask you this question, does your confidence make you an enjoyable person to be around?
On the other hand, there is that Batman side which represents our anti-social aspect of our life. Without question, we all want to be left alone when we're surrounded by people in our ear on a seemingly constant basis. For we all hide within our own metaphorical bat cave where we sit and mull over our thoughts. For it is in that deep dark cave of our own minds that we look deep into our heart and soul. A journey that each one of us has gone on and the answers we sometimes are looking for are found or not found at all when reflecting back at our lives then till now. For the most part, it can at times be a depressing journey and yet when we step out of our metaphorical bat cave, we can feel a whole lot better.
In retrospect, there will always be that inner struggle to find out who we truly are as a person and whether or not we will like who we find at the end of our quest. As I said before, we all wear a mask but the question is, which mask reveals the real you? Is it the mask that people see every day or is it the mask you tend to hide from people? For that particular question will have to be left up to you to figure out because you only know the answer to that. It can either be difficult or easy and it's just a matter of how truly comfortable you are with yourself on the inside, as well as, out. There comes a point where you just have to either accept or deny who you really are and not run away from it. In the end, if you are truly honest with yourself and choose the right mask, then you can most definitely say that is who I am.

Lost In Translation
Bill Cosby once said, ~Men and women belong to different species and communication between them is still in its infancy.~ Without a doubt, men and women speak a different language that tends to be hard to understand to the point where quite possibly men are truly from Mars and women are from Venus. Since the dawn of time up to now, the way the male species has communicated both with each other, the female species, and vice versa can be considered not only a challenge for both sides, but also how utterly comical it can become when it's totally way off. For it can be a difficult situation indeed trying to decipher/interpret what not only is being sad, but also the meaning that may be behind it as well.
Let me ask you this question ladies, why do you have to go through a long drawn out story in order to get the actual topic that in our minds is what we're expecting to hear. I think I can safely say every guy has been in a situation where a particular female walked in to talk to them and started to tell him a story about bumping into an old friend. It's during their story telling a guy will inevitably nod during the story or halfway through it signifying that even though we're with you we have no earthly idea what the topic was about because the story turned off in so many directions. Let me tell you something ladies, just get to the point by saying the following: Who...what...where...and food. NOTE: Make sure to emphasize food because we'll be there no matter what.
Oftentimes, the nonverbal communication being given out can most definitely be interpreted the wrong way causing a great deal of anguish, especially if you're a guy. All men are in agreement that a women giving the silent treatment is the harshest torture they can possibly ever do particularly when we have no idea what we did. The crossed arms, hand under resting their chin, body weight shifted to one side, head tilted ever so slightly, right/left leg sticking out to the side/front, lips in what I like to call I just sucked on a lemon position, and giving the look of death are signs telling us to mentally go into DEFCON 1 because we're preparing to wait for whatever verbal/physical assault may be coming our way, which can drive any guy absolutely up the wall.
For the question can be asked, when it comes to communicating within our own species does the lack of communication cause concern? If you think about it, women love to communicate with each other to no end about their feelings while they’re embraced in a comforting hug if they're sad possibly because of a bad break up leading them to experience a plethora of emotions as tears as shed. Guys, on the other hand, there really isn't a lack of concern in communication because quite frankly we communicate through gestures, grunts, and less than 10 word sentences. Plus, if something is wrong we do not talk it out with our buddies...instead we end up doing certain activities like paintball, fishing, bowling, or something that involves blowing something up.
In retrospect, men and women will always communicate with each other differently to where such things as frustration, anger, confusion, or whatever the case may be are going to be experienced. To a woman, having a guy sit down face to face and talk with her so that they can communicate with each other instead of just one sided conversation is something truly special, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. For a guy, a woman has to understand that being able to communicate with our words is difficult, leaving us to act on how we feel to the point where our words inevitably follow. In the end, communication between the species will at times have the message be lost in translation.

The World's Greatest
Someone once said, ~ A father is someone that holds your hand at the fair, makes sure you do what your mother says, holds back your hair when you are sick, brushes that hair when it is tangled because mother is too busy, lets you eat ice cream for breakfast, but only when mother is away, he walks you down the aisle, and tells you everything's gonna be ok.~ Its true indeed that fathers tend to take the proverbial back seat to moms in the so called parent totem pole. Yet, even though its mothers who give the tender loving care and tend to get much of the attention, its the fathers who can be be given credit where credit is due when one calls for some much needed, as well as, best advice possible.
As little kids, we've all had those petty arguments on whose dad was better and it eventually turned into amy dad can beat up your dad scenerio, which my dad can beat up all you dads...just kidding or am I? In any case, its that superhero mentality we placed on him due to the fact that in our young adolescent eyes he was an invincible man like Superman. Though we never saw him leap tall buildings in a single bound or used heat vision that came from his eyes, one practically looked up to him as a role model to one day grow up to be as. Yet, as we got older one started to figure out that he wasn't a superhero, just a regular man; but a man that each and every one of us hopefully still love and respect nonetheless.
A father expects so much from the oldest son, like myself, who is to one day take care of the family if in case something unfortunate ever happens to him, which hopefully doesn't occur any time soon. *knock on wood* Its a father's obligation to push and mold a son/sons, whether he's the youngest or oldest, to be the man that he can be pround of. A son that he can with his own eyes that he has grown up into a fine upstanding man who still has the values and manners engrained into one's own being. At times, a father will be disappointed and frustrated with a son; but that is to be expected because of course, he too disappointed and frustrated hin own father many years ago.
When it comes to a daughter or daughters, a father will absolutely feel overprotective. Can you blame him because he knows that there are young men out there who are just waiting to date his precious little jewel(s). Its at that point, a father will go into a mode where potential young suitors will have the fear of God into them somewhat like in the movie Bad Boys II; but with not such much of the humoristic side used because he knows what they are thinking. Working in the insane asylum, I honestly feel protective of "my girls" not only as a big brother but also as a father due to the fact that I've seen each of them grow up from little girls to not yet a woman. Essentially, a father will always and forever be seen as daddy's little girl(s) even if she is married and all grown up with her own kids.
In retrospect, there are several different names that a child can call a father such dad, pop, papi, tatay, old man etc. If you have a father or at least a father figure in your life tell him that you love him and thank him for all that he has done for you. For if that relationship has been severed years ago, then at least make the effort to try talk to set things right that were once wronged in the past. Through all the disappoints and mistakes that a father will see, hear and experience from his child, he will always still love you no matter what. Even though he may not be in your life physically he's always in your heart or if you don't want him to be in your life personally, he will always be your father. Ultimately, it takes a certain kind of man to be a father that will always be there for his family and in the end, that man will truly deserve to be called The World's Greatest. Happy Father's Day Folks!

It Could Happen
Filipinos are without a doubt some very interesting people, trust I personally know this to be a fact. For its our culture that people seem to enjoy and find interesting. For the food that is either made, cooked, or baked can most definitlely fill empty stomachs. The traditional dances that are performed are not only entertaining but also historicial. We are a singing people and whether or not its karaoke, we sing our hearts out. When it comes to acting, my people tend to be on the overly dramatic side and I know this by watching Filipino movies on occasion even though I have no idea what they are talking about. Now with that said, do you think there will ever be a Filipino as President of the United States. My answer is no and there are several different reason but I will focus on the following three below.
Its a well known fact that my people aren't the most punctual group, so what makes you think a Pinoy President will be on time for any particular events. Events such as his own inauguration to be formally sworn in, his State of the Union Address, and White House Press Confrences are just some of the important events that would cause some concern if he weren't on time. Thinking about it, it would truly be disappointing for the first Filipino President of the United States to be late for his own swearing ceremony. So, my solution to his dilemma is to either schedule important events one hour later or tell him that food will be served afterwards which usually gets any Filipino to come early.
Speaking of food, Cabinet Meetings, as well as White House Dinners would get pretty interesting. Like a true Filipino, whatever kind of meeting it is, food will be brought whether you're hungry or not and you can't refuse the President on what he wants you to bring. Essentially, when it comes to Presidential dinners, I don't think senators, foreign dignitaries, corporate big wigs, and others will not be able to handle a President that eats with his hands, but that's the Filipino way. As the for the dinner itself, we're not the type of people to waste food and have it thrown away; so every person, by order of the President and First Lady, receives "To Go" boxes wrapped in tin foil to take home and eat later.
As many of you know, one of the jobs as President is to to pick people for Cabinet positions. Now if he chooses a fellow Pinoy or Pinay as a cabinet member things will get most definitely interesting. Positions such as secretary of education will get all out of whack because Filipinos are notorious for switching P's with F's or vice versa. As for the issue of gender, a Filipino will have the slip of the tongue and call he a she or him a her, which could cause an international incident if he were to pick a Filipina as Secretary of State. For the secretary of transportation would take all the unused military hummers, paint them yellow and turn them into jeepneys, which will replace taxi cabs. It would make for a better cab ride wouldn't you think?
In retrospect, I don't think the America would be ready for a Filipino as President of The United States. The secret service will not be able to handle the President getting their attention by saying pssst...pssst or hoy! Visitors to the White Hourse would have to take off their shoes before entering a Filipino's house, a law that's put into affect by the First Lady. The presidential limo will not be able to get a good parking space with the Hondas, Toyota Celica's, and Vans taking all the room. There will be disputes over in-laws fighting over who gets the Lincoln Bedroom and don't get me started on Air Force One. Ultimately, a Filipino as President is just a fleeting thought, but hey it could happen.

You and Me
Someone once said, ~We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive. Where every sense is heighted, every emotion is magnified, our everyday reality is shattered and we are flying high into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon. But that doesn't diminish its value. Because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives.~ Nothing is ever really the same after the first time really falls in love because the memories that you take with you with that particular person helps you gain somewhat of a perspective as to who your heart began with years ago and to who you finally now share your heart with for a lifetime.
We've all have had people catch us at a moment where a smile, a laugh, or a tear was witnessed and oftentimes its due to either a past or current memory shared with someone special. Its within that moment of vulnerability, people see how truly of an affect that person had or has on you. Let me give you this particular challenge which is to think of someone that gave you great memories in a past or current relationship and try no to smile. I'll give you time to think...so, how did you do on the challenge? Did it answer any questions that you have been wondering about or did it give you more questions to ask, which is without a doubt what love can undeniably give to every person.
For the most part, the memories that are captured in photos can essentially tell a timeless story that can absolutely touch the human heart. Take a look at your parents/grandparents photo albums and within each picture countless stories can be told behind them. For its when they reflect back, you can see and feel the love they have for each other. Its a loving bond that you don't see too often due to marriages lasting only a couple years rather than a marriage that has lasted 30 plus years. It can be truly a touching situation for any person to lose their best friend and all he or she has left of that person are the memories, either photos or keepsakes, that in some ways keeps him or her alive in one's heart.
Let me ask you this question, when it comes to a past or current love, do you keep close to your heart the memories that you cherish for all time or do you keep the memories that metaphorically leave scars that either stay on the surface or run very deep into the core of your heart? For some people keeping the cherished memories shows that you have a caring heart and a part of you still loves and/or cares for that person. Yet, for others he or she would rather keep the unwanted memories close to one's heart because it shows that past hurts were real; but the strength it gives helps you to continue on the path of life. A path that will lead you to eventual true happiness or sadness where more scars will suffered.
In retrospect, when it comes to love, the memories that a person can attain can either be satisfying or absolutely disappointing. For it really depends on the person who he or she spends time with and if the memories that were shared are worth reliving over and over in one's own mind. Whether or not you find that one person or that one person finds you, the memories that are or will be shared with him or her will be a great story to tell one's own grandkids someday. Ultimately, every person want to say to that someone special I want you and me to make a lifetime of memories together and a perfect song that reflects this thought is Keith Urban's Making Memories Of Us.

Isn't That Cute
Let me ask you this question, have you ever had a crush on someone or did someone, that you know of, have a crush on you? Of course, we've all had or still have a crush on someone you know, but never told that person. Plus, knowing whether or not that guy or girl has a crush on you can be considered flattering and yet it leaves one in an awkward position. Without a doubt, its part of what being a human being is all about and no matter how hard you can fight it, its simply an unavoidable feeling. A feeling that can absolutely overwhelm you to where you can't eat, sleep, and think straight. Although, its an overwhelming feeling, one can control your emotions and not have one's emotions take control over you.
For the most part, each of us may or may not have had a schoolboy/schoolgirl crush on a teacher. From pre-school to college, at some point in the past or present, a person has had or may still have that special feeling for him or her. Think back to the good ole' days, if you can and try to remember that one teacher that made your heart skip a beat. For me personally and every other adolescent guy in Bellview Middle School, it was Ms. Cook, who is probably now married by now. For the life of me, I can't remember what class she taught, but I do know one thing though and that is every guy payed attention to her which can either be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.
Having that office crush on a particular co-worker will happen from time to time, which has happened to me on occasion; but I'm keeping my lips sealed on who those specific female co-workers were. Anyways, when it comes to that office crush, a person essentially wants to have a sense of professionalism and not have it affect his or her own work. Most of the time it can be squashed; but when you work together on a semi-daily basis something is bound to happen that one or both people act on his or her feelings. However, it can backfire and that awkwardness ultimately prevents a smooth working relationship that once was there; now utter silence and constantly avoiding each other is there, which nobody ever wants to happen.
Undeniably, people have crushes on certain celebrities, sports figures, singers, and even political figures if you can believe it. For it can be a perfectly harmless crush that one outgrows through time. Unfortunately though, a simple crush can turn into an obsession where a so called "fan" stalks or harasses him or her. We've all heard sad stories such as John Lennon of the Beatles and Rebecca Schaeffer of the one time popular show My Sister Sam who so called "fan" gunned them down. Its truly unfortunate indeed that there are these types of "fans" that can take a simple crush and escalate to a whole new level. A level to where it is perceived as sick and twisted by other people who know where and when to draw the line.
Working in the asylum for the last 9 years now, I never had "my girls" have a crush on me because they're too busy either hating me or beating me up. It wasn't until the second week of summer camp that I think a 6 year old girl has a crush on me. I'm not telling you this to boost my own ego but there are signs such as every time I walk anywhere she is right behind me, smiling at me, and she always wants to hold hands. To be perfectly honest, its flatterning but I would be the last person to have a crush on because quite frankly I consider myself the biggest goober working there. Listen, if any of you guys can tell me the qualities that would consider me a crush worthy then I'll accept it. Ultimately, whenever I share this bit of news, particularly with females, their basic response is an awwww and these three words...isn't that cute.

The Perfect Man
Someone once said, ~ I am no one special, just a common man with common thoughts. I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me, and my name will soon forgotten. But in one respect, I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and for that has always been enough.~ Undeniably, that how every guy feels as one says that while looking into the eyes of that special someone. For its that sensative side that every guy rarely reveals to anybody and yet, when it is shown by someone who is truly genuine then he is considered a keeper. There comes a point where we know there is a chance that the comman man can find true happiness just look at Lyle Lovett who at one time married Julia Roberts. Who'da thunk it?
In some aspects, it actually gives hopes to the so called "average joes" out there that one might have a chance after all. For its the "nice guy" that tend to receive the short end of the stick, in a manner of speaking, but yet end up in very happy relationships with a woman that he never imagined spending his life with. For its that proverbial long and winding road that guys, as well as girls, travel on until it straightens out and leads to that special someone. It can be a frustrating situation indeed for the "nice guy" to compromise one's own morals and intergrity to become someone that would break a girls hopes, dreams, and inevitbaly her heart, which doesn't fit one's true character and/or personality.
In any case, every guy has made a fool of himself since the discovery that girls don't have cooties and it's not contagious. Much can be said for a guy who knows that he doesn't have a chance with that particular girl but still tries like fictional character Steve Urkel did with Laurra Winslow from the television show Family Matters. However, what about the guy who has absolutely no idea what his chances are with that particular girl of interest. As a guy, there comes a point where it feels like one is completely fooling himself to where the things that he does seems thoughtful and sweet but maybe its just annoying in her eyes. Inevitably, one tends to think about giving up; BUT as stubborn as we are, giving up is never an option.
Let me share something with you ladies, guys go through quite a bit of self analyzation when we are interested in girl or that particular girl is interested in us. Initially, we go through so much to figure out our true feelings and ride an emotional rollercoaster as well.. Emotions such as innate fear that we may have in which we may never fulfill the expectations you are looking for in that so called perfect guy. Though it is considered a myth, there is such a thing as perfect and when you find him or when he finds you don't overthink/overanalyze the day when you may lose him or her; but rather think about what you both will have gained that puts a smile on both your faces.
In retrospect, the quote that started this thought is a true statement indeed for a guy who truly believes that all you can ever give a woman is two things: your heart and yourself. Thinking about it, that's all any guy can ever give and if that isn't enough for her then she isn't worth pursuing. Without a doubt, there is a guy out there who will truly care and love you with all his heart and soul, which you really don't have to look hard for. In some aspect, he has always been right in front of your face either standing next to you, right beside you, or been with you in spirit and you have been too busy to notice him. In the end, once you have your heart truly opened, then you will finally see what you haven't been seeing all this time and that is the perfect man.

Who's Next
Someone once said, ~What "geek" seems to mean in this context is "I am incredibly passionate about something trivial, and I can tell you every teeny detail about that subject, and I'm kind of embarassed at how much I know...and yet...here goes."~ Essentially, every person in the world, though they don't admit it, is considered a geek no matter how "cool" and/or "hot" one percieves themselves or is percieved to be. Though one can try to hide one's geekiness from others, it will be revealed in due time. If you think about it, we all tend to get fired about certain things and thats when one's geek side comes out. So let me ask you this question and be honest with yourself, do you consider yourself a geek?
When it comes to video games, a person's geeky side will tend to show. Usually playing video games is a male dominated activity that starts basically from infancy till the day we die. No matter what type of game it is, as a guy, we consider it challenge to beat that particular game without looking through any game guides or using cheat codes, which generally gives us a sense of pride and accomplishment. Let me tell you something, every guys know that self gratification of beating a boss and/or level that has one frustrated to no end. Undeniably, all guy are stubborn and when it comes to video games we will not rest until we feel vindicated and if that means not sleeping then so be it.
You would never expect to be a geek when it relates to sports or sports related activities, but you do. Every person has their favorite sport/team and without a doubt one knows the lingo, personal and professionl information, and history of the specific team of that sport. For no matter how long one has been a fan, a person will continue to keep track of a team progress, as well as, the progress of it's individual players because quite frankly if there is a weak or struggling player on that team, he or she must be traded for a stronger player; but I digress. Thinking about it, whether its baseball, football, hocky, basketball, football, Nascar, surfing, skateboarding, cheerleading, etc. your geeky side will reveal itself when things start to get intense and that is usually when the fun begins.
Personally speaking, I consider myself a geek when it pertains to professional wrestling. First off, its not fake its predetermined to the point where they actually choreograph every move they both make to ensure they don't really hurt each other, which wrestling fans call an oops. Knowing wrestler's real names, former personas, how many titles they've won, and other trivial information is just a part of what makes a wrestling fan. I have been and still am a wrestling fan since the NWA days with such wrestlers as Jimmy "Boogie Woogie" Valient and The Road Warriors,The question I have to ask myself is will I lose any major "cool" points after revealing this bit of info. My answer is who cares because, as a guy, professional wrestling is considered a male soap opera where we tune in to figure out story lines, angles, and watch grown men hit each other over the head with chairs.
In retrospect, just like embracing your inner dork you also have to embrace you inner geek. Look back at your middle/school high school days, were you a member of the band or any clubs such as the drama club, which were considered the geekiest school activities to be a part of. For me, I considered myself an art geek and I spent my times creating and making stuff up in my mind and drawing them on paper. In a sense, you can't escape how people knew you back then and to be perfectly honest you can't hide who you truly are. For its those people that are truly your best friends and will love you for who are inside, not the outside. In the end, I have told you what kind of geek I am and to what extent is my geekiness, all I have to say now is...who's next?

Everytime
Someone once said, ~Why do we close our eyes when we sleep? Why we cry? When we imagine? When we kiss? This is because the most beautiful thing in the world is unseen.~ If you think about it, that previous statement is true indeed because its oftentimes better to have one's eyes closed because it opens up a whole new world that a person has never been able to fathom. In some aspect, a blind person can see and hear things better than a sighted person could possibly ever comprehend. Though we all can see, we're actually blind and can't see what's in front of our face till its too late. Essentially, there are ceratain areas of life that closing our eyes intially helps us get a better understanding of who or what is placed in front of us.
For the most part, music is a part of every person's life that one can never escape from. On a seemingly regular basis we watch and/or listen to our favorite artists perform live, on television, or on the radio. Yet, the question can be asked, does closing your eyes when you are listening to him, her, or them sing their songs help? In my own opinion, yes because you get a better vibe, sense, or feel of the song by that particular person or persons. Without question that's how love is as you try to feel, not see, the the beat of the music coming from that one special person. Its what a person doesn't see that makes a song special and if two people can connect on a deeper level with that song, then they've absoluely just made beautiful music together.
Without a doubt, trying to figure out the feelings you have for someone can be oftentimes be solved by simply closing your eyes and imagining your life without that person in it. For it can be considered the best problem solver when one is in a situation where he or she is torn between two people that has his or her in a proverbial tug-of-war. Its within one's own drama filled world that its nice to know that you have friends and/or family members that will help you decide one's dilemma of love by weighing the pros and cons of that particular person. Whether or not, an actual decision is made concerning with who one's heat lies with at that exact moment; it at least helps free you from distractions that may be hindering your decision process.
However, when it comes to love or falling in love, a person doesn't want to close his or eyes for the simple reason that if one opens them up that person will be gone. We've all been at a particular place in life where you meet a someone, who is or was everything you always wanted in significant other. One hopes its not an elaborate illusion set up by life itself to mess with you, which can be viewed as cruel and inhumane torture. Yet, you still want to be assured you aren't dreaming and a simple request such as being pinched will squash one's worries. For its one's so called dream come true that keeps that person's eyes wide open and no matter how badly he or she wants to blink, one doesn't want to miss the experiences that one will enjoy to the fullest.
In retrospect, when it comes to love, a person can have his or her eyes opened and closed so many times that it swells shut. For it can be a frustrating situation indeed for any person to try to see who is standing in front of him or her only to have one's vision impaired. In a way, its like something has been covering one's eyes and you can't remove them no matter how hard you try. Yet, we have some idea who is standing there even though we can't see him or her. In the end, everytime you close your eyes who do you see that brings a smile to your face to the point where you think he or she can truly open your eyes for good and a song that somewhat reflects this is by Babyface feat Mariah Carey and Kenny G.
