Time

You have to admit, we as human beings are always watching the clock eagerly awaiting time to either begin or end. One can't really help it because the fact is our lives are based on a planned schedule that can oftentimes not go the way we want. In a way, each of us want every second that passes by to count, because a person doesn't want to miss anything going on in his or her life. Inevitably, it's a little thing such as time that is considered to be the most precious commodity one never wants to waste when it pertains to a potential and/or significant relationship.

Let me ask you this question, have you ever been in a situation where time just stood still, in a manner of speaking, when that certain guy or girl indirectly entered one's life? It can be somewhat compared to a Hollywood movie where the "scenes" in one's life can play out in slow motion. It's a moment where he or she can literally hear the proverbial ticking of one's own heart as it beats away. In a way, those beats can represent a countdown in which one's heart may burst, not in a heart attack/cardiac arrest sort of way, but in a love at first sight way.

When one does finally establish a relationship of some kind with that particular person, each no longer considers time as a factor. Think about it, when you are with someone you truly care about or love, time can just literally fly by. The moments one spends with that particular person can seem like the eternity and the hands of time have just stopped for you two. Every person has been in this situation where it seems there will always be a proverbial time limit set, and if one doesn't use the time he or she has to one's advantage, then one will hear those two dreaded words, "Times Up!

It has been said that getting together is the hard part, but breaking up is the easiest thing to do. Sometimes in life, we simply don't understand why particular situations happen such as breaking up with someone. In any case, both the guy and girl have all the time in the world to figure out what went wrong in a seemingly tight relationship only to crumble right in front of them. Countless tears will eventually be shed and it's at that point one will hear ticking. Not the ticking of one's own heartbeat, but the ticking of the clock as it metaphorically slaps you in the face as time passes slowly by.

Someone once said, ~Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as much as how we lived.~ In a way, that is true, but when you truly care about or love someone, time is inconsequential and every moment can feel like an eternity, a feeling that one doesn't want to go away. I end this thought by saying, it takes seconds to spot someone, minutes to have a crush on someone, hours to like someone, days to love someone, but in the end, it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
