The Right Decisions

It's a funny thing how certain people make certain kinds of decisions in one's own life. Let me ask you this question, what was the most important decision that you ever had to make in your life and once you made it, did you have any regrets or was it the best one you ever made? In some aspects, we've all come to that proverbial crossroads where each of us stand in front of two paths, but in some cases there is more that two paths to choose from. One can sometimes feel like standing in the middle of of a balance weighing his or her options of the best decision to make. If you think about it, there are several ways a person makes that particular decision in one's own journey through life.

One such way in one's decision making process is the going by his or her gut, in which a person basically has a particular feeling and either goes with it or doesn't go with it. Every person has been in a situation where you have this funny feeling in the pit of your stomach that something might happen. It's one's own instincts on high alert so to speak and the decision one makes next determines an outcome that may or may not happen. Each one of us at some point, based a decision on a gut reaction whether or not it was the right one to make, it was your call. It's just a matter of listening to yourself and it also helps to have a close friend that you truly trust by your side.

The spontaneous decision, is one that a person goes on by a mere whim. There are certain people that will leave everything at a drop of a hat to do things or go places just because one felt like it. In a way, one is a free spirit, for the ties that bind that person are practically loose and one is free to roam around and spread his or her wings so to speak. Every person knows at least one guy or girl who will basically just spontaneously make a decision out of the blue and go somewhere and not take anything with him or her except the clothes on one's back or a friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife. A person can admire that person's boldness and it's a trait some people would like to have.

Then there are the decisions making skills in which one just has fun with. Non-important decisions that can be decided either a flip of the coin, eenie-mennie-mynie-moe or the ever popular rock-paper-scissors. Let me tell you something, some of the decisions that are made where I work at basically come from the rock-paper-scissors method. Such decisions as where to eat, whose going to drive the van, whose going to ride shotgun in the van, and whose going under the bleachers to retrieve a child that doesn't want to come out which has happend trust me. It's just some of the semi-important decisions that my fellow co-workers and I deal with in a fun and playful way to keep moral up.

In all seriousness, there will be situations in a person's life where prayer is needed to come to an all important decision. It's that particular all important decision that one must leave in God's capable hands, for he will give you the answers you need. In Psalms 66:19-29, it says, ~19): But verily God hath heard me: he hath attended in the voice of my prayer. 20): Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.~ When all else fails, and the advice you are getting doesn't help, turn to God. In the end, God will help you make the most important decisions in your life; all you have to do is bow your head, close your eyes and pray to Him in making the right decisions.
