The Perfect Mom

*This is basically to all the moms. If you're not a mom, you can give this to your mom.*

You have been there for us through the good times and the bad times. You stayed up with us when we were sick and you knew what made us feel a whole lot better. For you waited on us hand and foot and wanted nothing in return but our love and gratitude. You handled our bumps and bruises with care and used your motherly love to basically kiss them away when we were younger. The tender loving care you gave us made each of us feel special like princes and princesses or kings and queens.

Growing up you have seen us go through every emotion in the book so to speak. You know us inside and out because each of us has a little piece of mom in our DNA. Our quirky little traits and characteristics come from you and a little bit from dear old dad. You have also seen our darkside but never ran away in fear. For you have been there before and the same things we did. The lessons that were taught to you back then are now being taught to us by you. Though we may not listen at times, we hear what you are saying and keep what you say in the back of our minds and in our hearts.

Through our times of heartache you have stood by our side giving us bear hugs and kisses. You always knew what to say to make our day a little brighter and what to cook when we fell down. A sixth sense in a manner of speaking that all moms have when it concerns their kids. For you act like a superhero coming to save the day so to speak. Whether it is in our professional lives or in our personal lives we can always count on you to be there for us when we are in dire need of advice. You taught us to basically have balance in our lives that tend to be chaotic at times.

You have been there when we succeeded in the things that we strived for. Supporting us with whatever endeavor we wanted to do in life, no matter what. Yet you also be there when we fail, keeping our spirits up, and telling us never to give up on our dreams. Keeping us happy despite the times of sadness and tough times in your own lives. You have sacrificed so much for us and we appreciate that, though we don't show it at times. We are often too caught up with our own lives to give thanks that we have a mom that loves and cares for us so much.

As we get older, you realize your baby boy or baby girl is growing up and is turning to a fine young man or a fine young lady. For one day you hope that we will find the one that we will settle down with and raise our own family. It will basically come full circle for us as it did for you. Looking back, as kids we have made you happy, sad, crazy, angry and everything in between. In the end, no matter what anybody says, each of you are absolutely...THE PERFECT MOM.
