As kids, we often take for granted the little things in life that mean so much to us. Like the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the friends we have made, the wisdom given by teachers and mentors, and the loves we have lost and the loves we have found.
Life is a learning experience where we travel the proverbial road and before us are potholes which may cause a stumbling block. Those potholes may hinder us from getting to our appointed goals.
Each one of us has had true happiness, great triumphs, and have reached highs that we can be proud of. Yet, each one of us has had true sadness, devastating defeats, and have reached lows that we want to forget. You have to take the good with the bad so to speak, for life wouldn't be as interesting.
It is how you deal with those past experiences, bad or good, that will determine the person who you will become in the present and in the future. Someone once asked, ~Would you live your life over again knowing all the trials and tribulations you are going to go through again?~ Yes? No? Maybe? You, yourself truly know the answer.
There is also the question of regrets. As one looks back at his or her own life do they have regrets? Regrets that warrant a do-over so to speak, and fix right that once was wrong. Would you simply accept the consequences of past experiences or continue to wonder what could have been?
In retrospect, the past determines who you have become in the present. The present determines who will become in the future and the future determines who has become by the past and present experiences. So cherish everything that may come your way,bad or good, for it will determine who you are. Will you back up and run away or move forward and hit life head on? Take nothing for granted.
