The Fire Within

Each of us has a fire that burns deep within us all. It is the driving force that keeps us moving forward against obstacles, large or small. it can never be extinguished by any conventional means or methods. We all have that inner strength that never lets us throw in the towel so to speak. It's like the saying goes, "We may be down, but we're not out.'' It is a matter of regrouping, assessing the situation, and going at it at a different angle. Never quitting, never surrendering, always keeping our focus on that "prize" at the end of the rainbow in a manner of speaking.

That fire drives us to be the very best at what we love to do. Though we may make mistakes, it's the person's heart that pumps the flames even higher and hotter. In comparison, it's like climbing to the very top of the mountain and reaching the pinnacle of your career. But to reach the very top, one must endure pain and. In other words, we are willing to give up our blood, sweat, and tears to reach the top. It's a climb that any man or woman would gladly face to get to the richest "prize" in the game, whatever it may be to you. At times, the fire which burns inside us may flicker, it is the people who love, care and stick with us through thick and thin that keeps the embers burning.

All of us have that driving purpose to succeed. It may be different for some, but as the saying goes, "This is where we separate the men from the boys." The fire within us determines whether a person quits because the climb is too hard or moves forward and conquers the steep climb up the mountain. Our will to succeed, our determination, our drive, and our passion for what we love to do is what keeps the fire burning within us. Let me ask you this question: Does the fire still burn within you?
